Hello & welcome, I’m Layla
I created this Substack to explore the beauty and the bones of life.
𖥸 The bones we need to dig up
𖥸 The bones we need to bury
𖥸 The beauty we need to see
I write from a real, raw, lived place.
I write about between-spaces, thin places & little labours.
I write to explore how I feel.
I write to see if anyone else feels that way, too.
𖥸 Are you interested in examining how we can unearth, reconnect to and inhabit these bodies we walk in?
𖥸 Would you like to explore together quietly radical ways of being in relationship with each other and with this planet we call home?

A little more about me ::
I live in rural Co. Wicklow, Ireland with my three children & my husband (an ex-rock n’roll musician, turned composer and breath worker). I live on land I fall in love with more each day, edged by a stream and held by ancient oaks and jaunty hazel.
I have written a memoir about my raw and unruly body, about belonging and coming home that has recently found itself an agent and will be going out on submission soon.
I also work as a Five Element Acupuncturist – you can find out more here.
